Digital Photojournalism Final

My semester long project I followed Juleana Cain and her Quarter Horse Daisy for a few months and captured their bond in pictures. I photographed events like mundane feedings to being in the wrong place at the wrong time when an aggressive horse is around. I’m very proud of my project, which was one of the winners at the journalism and communication journalism showcase at Oakland University, and I was glad to have worked with such a pleasant pair.

Playwriting Final

Just finished my final 10-minute play for playwriting 101.

It’s about a newly hired immigration officer who needs to impress his boss to keep his job, but a Russian emigrant trying to enter America could potentially stand in his way.

You can find a download in the playwriting page.

Vox Pop

Self defense is in the spotlight once again as a Michigan grandmother fatally guns down grandson.

With self defense cases like the grandmother killing her grandson and Jodi Arias hogging news channels lately it brings up questions like, “What is self defense?” and “Why is it important?”

I went around my town asking people what self defense means to them. I got many interesting responses that are complied into a vox pop in the link below.

Embers-Line

Embers-Line

This photo exemplifies lines in photography. Lines help guide the eye in a photo and add a layer of interest. I took this photo of a  Bay Roan Quarter Horse loping on a lunge line.
